Keshira haLev Fife
Tier of Magical Knots and Gatherer of People at the Origin
Keshira haLev Fife is a Kohenet (Hebrew Priestess), who sprinkles sparkles, disrupts expectations, and offers blessings wherever she goes. In service to the Divine Feminine, to her bright and benevolent ancestors, and to those whose are coming up after her, she serves as a community weaver, reclaiming ancient practices in ways that are resonant and relevant in the modern day. She pours love and intention into her work as a community shepherdess, ritual creatrix, liturgist, songstress, public speaker and writer. She finds inspiration as an avid traveler and has been humbled by her experience as a scholar of the Orphan Wisdom School. A deep believer that we must work together toward a better day, she is committed to tending the community hearth, holding space for challenging conversations, learning to live with paradox, standing proudly as a Jewish woman of colour and moving toward collective liberation.
Keshira delights in reaching across oceans, generations, faiths and identities, inviting people to reflect, connect, and find their edges so that they can live more fully and know themselves more deeply. Whether guiding Kabbalat Shabbat or officiating lifespiral ceremonies, she curates with cultural sensitivity and leads with joyful human-ness, creating a sense of warmth and welcome. She broadens prayer experiences so that each being can show up - as a participant, a witness, a seeker, or a skeptic - and be honoured as a pray-er, just as they are. As a ritual creatrix, she brings a sense of wholeness, fullness and blessing to each threshold, enhancing moments which are, at once, deeply personal and universal.
Having habitually offered 110%, in recent years, she has developed a newfound reverence for balance - between the profane and the sacred (Shabbat!), conviction and surrender, movement and stillness, and self-care and collective wholeness.
She was ordained as a Kohenet (Hebrew Priestess) in July 2017 and earned her BS (Social History) and MS (Public Policy and Management) at Carnegie Mellon University in her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A dual-citizen of the US and Australia, as of mid-April 2018, she and her beloved reside in Pittsburgh, PA, once again.
Finding a sense of home wherever she lays her head, she delights in crossing oceans and time zones, so that she can spend time with her loved ones, explore new places/cultures and re-awaken her senses of awe and remembering.
Priestess-in-residence (shalichat tzibbur, inspirational speaker and teacher for Kabbalat Shabbat, Shabbaton retreats and other events); bespoke multi-faith and multi-cultural life spiral event officiation (weddings and separations; funerals and memorial ceremonies; coming of age/mitzvah-nitiation ceremonies; baby namings and more).
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Sydney, Australia. Available to work remotely and travel.
